Public Telephone booth

A public telephone booth is the facility provided for public to use phone while outside their homes. This facility was very famous in pre-mobile era of telecommunication. As often people had to call someone urgently while travelling or just out of their homes. Initially the mode of payment was through coins, which remained in use very long. However later card system in addition to cash (i.e. coins ) was also used. And now due to widespread use of mobile phones this facility is rarely seen. And those available use card payment only ( like bank cards or cards balance purchased through phone company).
These phone booths are also used for another important purpose, which is taking shelter during raining.
